Dr Mark Chernoff completed a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Physiology before completing a medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2010. He began his postgraduate career at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne where he concentrated on general surgery and plastic surgery. He has since changed the scope of his practice gaining experience in Emergency Medicine in rural NSW, and fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He is a Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine and a GP Surgeon in Singleton NSW.
He has extensive skin cancer surgical experience performing over 500 surgical skin procedures per year.
He is a mentor for the RACGP, a supervisor for the Rural Doctors’ Network of NSW, and a practice accreditation surveyor for AGPAL.
With a broad skillset, knowledge and experience Dr Chernoff has a specific interest in Skin Cancer Treatments, Laser Treatments, Cosmetic Dermatology and Emergency Medicine.
Having moved from Canada many years ago and with two small humans, Mark and his wife Sam enjoy outdoor activities with family and friends. In his down time, you’ll find him enjoying family time out on the boat wake boarding or on the golf course having a hit of golf. Mark also enjoys basketball and is a keen snowboarder when the opportunity presents.
I’m not allowed to call myself a ‘skin surgeon’ (AHPRA changes). I’m just a doctor that mostly performs skin excisions.
